Big Folk was one of the first library albums I produced from start to finish, building on the popularity of folk pop and folk rock with augmented ensembles including vocal choruses, brass sections, strings and big percussion. While the album itself has been fairly successful, it’s the artwork – commissioned from the amazing illustrator Page Tsou – of which I’m most proud. The brief was a take on the title ‘big folk’, with folk musicians situated around the feet of a giant. The three sequel albums (the second and third also produced by me) continue this concept with further illustrations from Tsou.
